Planting The Future

This 1st of May holiday we at AFADLA honor the spirit of collective labor and land stewardship by launching the Ka Koupe reforestation project.  20 of our girls and members of the Ka Koupe community successfully planted 1000 chestnut, avocado, grapefruit, and coconut seedlings raised in our very own nursery.

We have tasked Mr. Orientil with managing (watering, weeding, protecting from animal grazing) our nascent food forest with continued bi-weekly supervision to ensure the seedlings survival. With your continuing support we plan to come back every year with more seedlings from our ongoing nursery project and more of our young ladies with a focus on the 100 ft radiuses around freshwater springs and strategic gradients.

AFADLA thanks the members of Ka Koupe’s rural council for allowing us this joyful opportunity to participate in social and environmental impact this May 1st celebration!!!
