As part of its mission to strengthen the capacities of young women and promote their economic autonomy, the Women's Center of Lafon has been teaching ongoing classes in fashion and accessory design. This training aims to provide participants with a safe space to nourish their creativity, as well as a solid technical practice and an entrepreneurial foundation to allow them to enter adulthood with confidence.
Today, we are proud to present the story of Sorayah, one of the beneficiaries of this training. After working on her craft with discipline and dedication for over a year, she decided to launch her own small business, "Sorayah Création", specializing in one-of-a-kind crochet garments and handmade accessories.

This business not only provides a source of income for her, but is also a symbol of autonomy, dignity, and social transformation that the other young women of the community look up to. Thanks to the skills she developed during her training at the Women's Center, Sorayah was able to put her creativity into practice and transform it into a source of economic security.
This story shows what can be accomplished when young people are given the skills and the security to thrive. They are able to build their own futures on their own terms.
It is our commitment to continue investing in the capacities of young women, to empower them to chart their own path in life and contribute to the economic and social development of their communities. With your support, we will continue to maintain a space dedicated to inspiration, learning, and solidarity, so that we can accompany more young women like Sorayah on the path to autonomy.
